Who are you calling Ma'am.........

I had my hair done today, it's always nice to do that...My hair is blond and being at the beach and the pool has taken a toll on it...So I went for some naughty low lights...And lots of them...I was feeling pretty good when I came out of the salon, hair was looking sassy and my makeup just right. I had a stylish pair of blue jean walking shorts on (the ones that hide most of my cellulite) adorable flip flops and a graphic tee shirt that screams, "I'm Hip, I'm Cool, I'm down with young people...I can hang with ya".............Boy was I WRONG.....OH, So Wrong......In a two hour period I was called ma'am six different times, by six different people....All under the age of twenty two... Now, a normal person could look at this and say they were all well mannered, well raised young adults....Which is rare these days....
But Not Me, OH No, Not Psycho Sybil......Since coming home I have ordered twelve different kinds of wrinkle cream and sprayed an entire bottle of Evamist on myself.......So far I look the same.....But I haven't had a hot flash in over an hour.

I was called Ma'am recently by a teen lifeguard at the pool. It threw me for a loop too. I wish we could get rid of that term of address. It's nice to be polite, but ma'am never sits right with the woman receiving that salutation. Funny post too!

Hi Queenie, I love it that you view yourself as hip and cool,...cuz that's really all that matters. You are as young as you feel! ((smile))

There are times that I still feel young in my spirit,...it's just my body that is getting old. (59 years old to be exact,...today is my birthday!)

So "ma'am",... don't get too worked up about it. Just enjoy life, and keep wearing those cute outfits "blondie"!

I felt really old this past weekend. We had one last family get-together for my niece who leaves for college for the 1st time tomorrow ( Western Carolina University ).

There was a cousin on my brother-in-law side that I had not seen in 22 yrs!!!! OMG! He is 31 now and had 2 kids. Now, I feel old.....I will be 43 yrs old in December.

I keep thinking that I look like I did in High School, but I guess that look "old" now, too.

We have our 25 year high school reunion in October.

Send some of that cream my way. :)

I've got the problem that I look WAY older than I am---too much sun as a teenager! I've been called ma'am so long, I'm numb to it. Sigh.
