We have several bird feeders in our yard and enjoy watching what ever bird comes along to get a snack, but this morning was a little different....These four buddies showed up and took over one of our "squirrel proof" feeders and the show that took place, was nothing short of the stooges...They all gathered around the feeder and were eating what the birds had dropped on the ground, but apparently the leader of the pack, Moe, wasn't satisfied with this... A small conversation between the group of buddies then took place... Moe decided to climbed up the tree on top of the feeder and take a look around...This happened several times...It's what happened next that is the surprise ...
Moe had figured out a way to hold the feeder down with one leg and eat seeds while drooping seeds to his friends below ....
This made Curly a little nervous, peering from behind a tree as if to say, "Are you sure about this". Larry didn't care , it was every squirrel for himself...
Little Shemp, whom we are certain is digging a hole to China and starting under our house, was just happy to be part of the gang again, who had been beating him up earlier...Who ever thinks squirrel's aren't smart, I have three and a chipmunk I would be glad to ship to your neighbourhood....

I absolutely love watching wildlife go about their business. They are so smart and can figure out ways to get what they want. lol
One of the most relaxing things for me to do is to sit and watch my hummingbirds swoop down, drink and take flight again. They fight among themselves for the feeder, even though it has 4 holes. It is very entertaining to watch them battle it out with our sparrows and robins for the feeders...they are so fast and furious...they usually win, take over before they will give up.
Have a wonderful week!
I got such a chuckle from this post! I won't take them off your hands, we have enough trouble with the little twerps here. I have little sunflower "bouquets" popping up out of darn near every flower pot and garden bed from chippers burying their cache of seeds. Maddening. (But they are darn cute!)
You have a lot of interesting visitors. Fun post and photos!
Nice, entertaining pics from your garden...I don't know why we don't get squirrels or chipmunks in our yard, but we don't...just deer and cottontail rabbits...we have to bring the bird feeder in at night since the deer like midnight snacks!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! You have an adorable blog home here.
Love all the beautiful pictures you took. The hummingbird shot is wonderful!
Good story to scrapbook about..
I love your stories on your blog, too.
