This Is Beyond Medals................

Anyone with half a heart, whether you follow the Olympics or not, had to be emotionally drained after watching Canada's Joannie Rochette take the ice last night....Only days after the death of her Mother, she skated to a standing ovation and a room full of tears....She skated as if her Mother was right by her side (I believe she was). They kept panning over to her tearful Dad who was there to support her...A breathtaking performance of grace and beauty...When she ended her routine, she broke down...I broke down as soon as she entered the ice...What courage for such a young woman...She currently stands in third place......And I'm pulling for her, I wish her the best .

Oh, I felt the same way. I cried with her but I admire her courage and determination to carry on in her mother's honor. What an amazing young lady. I can't imagine what that would be like.

(((hugs)))

I too felt the same way - what a woman of courage and her mother would want her to go on.

I just boo-hooed and cried, too.

SHE SHOULD HAVE WON GOLD.........for character, strength and determination to go on after her mother's death.

I still cry when I see glimpse or photos of her performance.

Her interview after she won Bronze on NBC....I cried.
